Camping on the Battenkill would like to invite you to come join in the summer fun.
We will be hosting two very special events here at the campground this year.
July 25th
Storyteller Lesley Nase will be here to tell tales around the campfire. Lesley tells Native American and original stories in the tri-state area. Two of her children’s stories are being illustrated for publication, and if you have ever been interested in telling a tale, she will have a special Open Mic section to her performance where the audience can sign up and tell a short 5-8 min story. Call to make your weekend reservations for this night of tales.
If cooking is more your thing we have just the thing for you!
August 29th
Dutch Oven Dave will be here giving a 3 hr. workshop 9-noon, on Cooking in a Dutch Oven, $20 per person. If you love the outdoors and cooking, here is an opportunity to learn under the guidance of Dave Horton who has been teaching and competing in Dutch Oven competitions for 33 years. Two Pot Dutch Oven Cook-off 2-5PM Camping on the Battenkill is holding its first Dutch Oven Cook-off. Two divisions: youth- 10-18 yrs and adult 18-99+ yrs in the categories main dish and dessert.
Entrance Fee: $20 Registration call the office to sign up and print out cook off information sheet for all the details.
